Generosity Gives Hope - Zazzy Bandz

Generosity Gives Hope

Gideon, the caretaker of Peniel Centre, shares,  “Staff and children are grateful for your support. Your generosity supports our program development to bolster our wonderful young people. We will always remember you in our prayers. Thank you for your love and generosity.”

Students are currently enjoying the school holidays.  While most students are able to sit back and relax, we have a small group of dedicated students who are hard at work preparing for future exams.  We have partnered with local private schools to provide tutoring sessions.  These sessions will boost students preparing for their O level and grade seven exams.  We look forward to seeing the academic confidence these sessions bring about.  Please pray for them as they continue on their learning journey.

Over the school holidays, one of our volunteers offered to teach cooking and baking lessons to our students.  Our girls are overjoyed to try something new! They look forward to baking bread for friends when classes resume.  They are always looking for ways to help one another.

We are also proud to share, during the first term, one of our boys medaled at the provincial level.  We are impressed by his enthusiasm and dedication to his sport.

Our children can do all of this because of your generosity.  Without your support we would be limited in our programming and effectiveness.  Please continue to pray for Peniel Centre.

Prayer Requests:

• Pray for funding of our school holiday tutoring program
• Pray for those who are in our cooking class that they will find joy in their new skill
• Pray for student school needs to be met
• Pray for funds for the fish pond at Peniel Centre
• Pray for one of our staff members who lost her twins this April.

More Than a Headband gives us the outlet to share how our friends at The Peniel Centre Orphanage in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe provide a home to these children, we now call “our children”.
