HOW COVID 19 AFFECTS PENIEL CENTER ORPHANAGE

Dear Zazzy Bandz and Friends,

We would like to let you know that we collected the money that was sent this month and are so much grateful to you for the support. We already have used the money to pay examination fees for six of our Peniel children who are going to write ‘O’ level exams at the end of the year this year. We also used part of the money to pay school fees arrears for the first school term of the year. Thank you so much and now these six children are going to be able to write their exams this year.

Due to the coronavirus challenge, our children are not going to school these days and are studying at home. The ones who have writing exams were supposed to be going back to school, but will not do so now because of the problem of COVID 19. We are contemplating getting a private tutor to assist them while they are at home, although it is a difficult move to take because we do not know who has the virus or not. We do not want our children to be exposed to the virus, hence we are not trying to bring strangers to the home. We hope and pray that this pandemic will be contained soon. We also hope and pray that it will not spread very much in this country because our health system is not very good.

Thank you so much for your love, care, and generosity rendered to these children."

With much gratitude,

Gideon & Jennifer, caretakers of Peniel Centre Orphanage
